Green Monster Pineapple Smoothie

This smoothie is my favorite morning pick-me-up or post hike refreshment! It’s quick, easy, and full of great nutrition!

This recipe works best with frozen pineapple. Make sure to blend until smooth and you don’t see any little dark green kale remnants floating around. Sometimes I’ll add a shot of Vitamin D or Immunity to give it a little extra kick!

Long ago, kale was also a slang term for “money,” as in, “Hand over the kale, sweetheart, and nobody gets hurt.” Kale comes from a Scottish variation on cole, which meant “cabbage” in Middle English.

Kale also has tons of health benefits and can be eaten raw (such as in salads, or smoothies) or sautéed as a side with your favorite meal.

I love pairing it with eggs for breakfast, or replacing starchy sides like pasta and rice with this delicious and hearty leafy green super food!
