Staying Motivated

Are you one of those people who’s bored with your workout? How many times have you said, “I don’t have time.” How about, “I’m not feeling it today…” or maybe you start to getting into a routine and are feeling great only to be derailed by social situations or life distractions? If so, take a few minutes to read a few tidbits that might make a little sense and heck, half of them you probably already know but have been unwilling to make the connection!

Healthy Banana Bread

I found this banana bread recipe on Spark Recipes and modified it just a tiny bit to make it more to my liking. Most banana bread recipes only yield a teeny slice of bread per serving size. With this recipe, you get a big ol’ hunk of banana bread for only 158 calories.

Specifically, a serving size is 1/8 of a loaf made in a standard 9.5″x5″ bread pan, whereas most of the other recipes were only giving you a 1/12 of the loaf.

You could leave out the walnuts and take 25 calories off each slice, but they really make it a game changer!

The Most Perfect Keto Hamburger Bun EVER

Adapted from Big Mans World, these are hands down the best keto rolls I have ever made. Most keto “bread” recipes are too eggy, or just plain bland, but these walked and talked like an actual burger bun.

Move over lettuce wraps!

This burger bun is a total game changer. At only 2 net carbs per roll, I feel like there is finally a guilt free option to really enjoy a good ole game day burger!

Hand over the kale, sweetheart, and nobody gets hurt.

Long ago, kale was also a slang term for “money,” as in, “Hand over the kale, sweetheart, and nobody gets hurt.” Kale comes from a Scottish variation on cole, which meant “cabbage” in Middle English.

Kale also has tons of health benefits and can be eaten raw (such as in salads, or smoothies) or sautéed as a side with your favorite meal.

I love pairing it with eggs for breakfast, or replacing starchy sides like pasta and rice with this delicious and hearty leafy green super food!
