Babe Spotlight: Joanne Fucci
Joanne Fucci
Badass boy mom, dental assistant, runner.
Joanne is a Dental Assistant, (spreading smiles across New Jersey), a badass boy mom, runner, and the kind of babe that pushes past any type of adversity and just makes things happen!
What does a typical week of training look like for you?
I get up every morning at 5 am and start with meditation and yoga. I run about 3 miles every day. I work 7:45-7 and I’m a single mom so the early morning is the only time I get to myself. I don’t belong to any gym. I work out at home and outside. I love being outside.
Are there any foods you avoid?
I avoid fried foods they don’t agree with me. I eat what I want though. I never deprive myself. I try to eat natural and healthy as best I can.
Favorite running or training shoe, device, app, or accessory??
I have very small feet so I prefer saucony and brooks. I prefer a good stability shoe.
How do you balance your work life with training and being a super busy mom?
Getting up early is the only way to balance being a mom and working long hours. You’d think getting up early would make you tired but on the contrary it gives you more energy.
What is your biggest post workout craving?
I crave pistachios and bananas after a nice long run… and water. I drink a lot of water.
Your body is your vehicle for the rest of your life. You have to treat it good and feed it will.

What motivates you?
What motivates me is life. I want to be the best version of myself. Every day I try be a little bit better. Push yourself and you’ll see results over time.
Do you have a go-to playlist?
I like to listen to dance music when I run… anything with a good beat. I love the feel of good base in your heart. It’s an awesome feeling.
What do you want to say to all the other babes out there trying to figure it out, just like us?
Just be consistent. You may not see results at first. Consistency is key. Just get up and do it. Your body is your vehicle for the rest of your life. You have to treat it good and feed it well. Live in the moment and enjoy life… that’s all there is to it.
